I just spent over an hour reading about Jamaica and especially Black River on your site. I was born and raised in Jamaica and my grandparents lived in Black River before I was born but somehow I never went there. I think this was in the early 1900s.
My grandmother spoke fondly of Black River, she lived there in the early years of her marriage to my Grandfather Dinald and told me stories of the river and the color from the natural dyes.
I had no idea of the enormity of the river and its history and the Town. You have done an excellent job in your descriptions of the sights and images of the various aspects and places. I love the narrative and imagery that you use in your writing! And the photos too tell a beautiful tale. I some how feel I have a deep connection there so its about time I pay a visit. Thank you for the inspiration.
